For 2008 our range of salad vegetables include:
Lettuce (Marvel, Lattughino, Valdor, Aruba, Bionda Foglia, Buttercrunch, Tom Thumb, Pinokkio, Oakleaf, Rouge De Grenobles).
Radish (Scarlet Globe, Black Spanish and Short Top) Leaves (Rocket, Basil Lettuce) Cucumber (Crystal Lemon, Long White Paris and Klaro). Tomato (St Pierre, San Marzano, Chadwick, Tigerella, Brandywine, Yellow Perfection and Mexican Honey).
Other vegetables grown include:
Peas (Ezethas Krombek and Weggisser).
Onion (Sturon, Red Baron, White Lisbon.
Spring onion (Ramrod). Shallot (Red Sun).
Garlic (Thermidrome). Beans (Hildora, Scarlet Emperor, Barl Lingua Fuoca, Blauhilde, Streamline and Neclar Gold). Aubergine (Rosa Bianca and Gold Bush). Pepper (Attris, Marconi Rossa and Bendigo).
Also marrow, squash, carrots, beetroot, courgettes, broccoli, cabbage etc.
Fresh vegetables form the basis of any meal and represent a large part of our overall produce. We do not store or import from other farms and all produce is locally grown and fresh.
In addition to the vegetables that are grown inside our poly tunnels we are growing in raised beds with a variety of crops but in particular potatoes (Blight Resisters, Cooks Choice, Early Bird, Waxy Salads and Slug Resister varieties).
